Extrusionary Designs started in 2019 with a single M3D Micro — an entry-level printer that cost less than most people spend on a smartphone. At the time, 3D printing was genuinely fascinating but the equipment felt financially out of reach, so we made a deliberate choice: start small, learn everything, and see if the passion was real.

It was. We ran that M3D until the mainboard gave out. When it did, the answer wasn't to stop — it was to upgrade. Enter the Creality Ender 5+, which we named Hulk. A proper, full-featured printer that opened up a new level of capability and confirmed what we already suspected: this wasn't a hobby. It was a craft.

Hulk was followed by three Creality CR-10S machines — She-Hulk, Iron Man, and Abomination — because as any serious maker knows, idle time is wasted time. While one printer ran, there was capacity to build, learn, and take on more. The fleet grew. The skills grew with it. Every machine was upgraded with direct drive systems and custom firmware, pushing print quality and reliability further with each iteration.

Then came The Lab — a Bambu Lab X1C that represented a step change in what was possible. Revolutionary precision, multi-material capability, and a speed that changed how we think about production. With The Lab joining the lineup, we consolidated to four printers: Hulk, She-Hulk, Iron Man, and The Lab. Each one is a workhorse that runs around the clock, producing the quality of output we're proud to put the Extrusionary Designs name on.
