Your Build Deserves Better Than a Cheap Online Print

Extrusionary Designs creates custom 3D printed props, costume components, wearables, and display pieces for cosplayers, collectors, performers, and event makers across Spokane, Coeur d'Alene, and the Inland Northwest.

Every piece starts with your vision — whether that's a screen-accurate replica, an original design, or a wearable component built to fit your measurements. We print using professional FDM equipment and high-quality materials chosen for the demands of the piece, not just whatever's cheapest on the spool.

Choose between printed-only parts you finish yourself, or our fully finished service where we paint, detail, and assemble the piece to display or wear-ready standard. Either way, you get a prop that holds up — on the convention floor, on stage, or on the shelf.

What We Make

Convention Props, Costume Pieces, and Display Collectibles

Convention Props

Replica weapons, shields, helmets, accessories, and oversized statement pieces built for the convention floor — where they need to look incredible, survive a full day of handling, and pass prop check. We print for durability and detail, and we know what convention-ready actually means. Ask us about turnaround timelines relative to your event date.

Costume & Wearables

Armour pieces, chest plates, gauntlets, pauldrons, and structural costume components designed to be worn — not just displayed. We design for real-world fit using your measurements, print in materials chosen for wearability and weight, and can break large pieces into sections for easier wear and transport. Finished to your specification or delivered raw for your own paint and assembly.

Display & Collectibles

Replica props, scale models, character pieces, and display collectibles made to sit on a shelf and look like they belong there. No convention deadline, no wearability requirement — just exceptional detail, clean finishing, and the kind of output that makes people ask where you bought it. Fully finished options available for pieces that need to look the part without any work on your end.

Finishing Options

Printed-Only or Fully Finished — Your Choice

We offer two tiers for every prop and cosplay project — and the right choice depends on your skills, your timeline, and how much of the build you want to own.

Printed-Only

We print your piece to a high standard and deliver it raw — cleaned, support-removed, and ready for your own sanding, priming, painting, and assembly. Ideal for experienced builders who want to control the finish themselves. Lower cost, faster turnaround.

Fully Finished

We handle the complete build — print, sand, prime, paint, detail, and assemble. You receive a display or wear-ready piece with no work required on your end. Ideal for first-time commissioners, tight deadlines, or pieces where the finish is critical. Longer lead time and higher cost — quoted per project.

Not sure which tier is right for your project? Describe what you need in your quote request and we'll recommend the best approach.

The Process

From Your Reference to a Finished Piece

01
Share your project details

Send us your reference images, the character or design you're working from, your measurements if it's a wearable, your event date if relevant, and whether you want printed-only or fully finished. The more you share, the more accurate our quote will be.

02
We review, model, and quote

If a design file doesn't already exist, we'll model the piece from your references and share renders for approval before anything gets printed. You'll see the design before we commit to the build. Quote covers printing, finishing tier, and timeline.

03
We build

Once approved and deposited, your piece goes into production. Print times vary by size and complexity. Fully finished pieces include additional time for sanding, priming, painting, and assembly. We'll give you a realistic completion estimate upfront.

04
Pick up or receive your piece

Collect in Spokane or have your order shipped. Large and fragile pieces are packed carefully — we've shipped props across the country and know how to get them there in one piece.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer fully finished props or just the printed parts?

Both. You can order printed-only parts ready for your own finishing work, or choose our fully finished option where we paint, assemble, and detail the piece for you. Just let us know which you need when you get in touch.

Can you make a prop from a reference image or photo?

Yes. If you have a reference image, screenshot, or photo of what you want, that's enough to get started. We'll model the piece from your reference and share the design for your approval before anything gets printed.

Can you make wearable costume pieces and armour?

Yes — we design and print wearable costume components including armour pieces, helmets, accessories, and structural elements. For wearables, we need your measurements to ensure the fit is right. We'll ask for these during the quoting process.

How far in advance should I order for a convention?

We recommend reaching out at least 4 to 6 weeks before your convention date, especially for complex or multi-part builds. Fully finished pieces take longer than printed-only orders. Contact us as early as possible and we'll be honest about what's achievable in your timeline.
