Extrusionary Designs logo, a custom 3D printing, scanning, and vinyl cutting workshop

Extrusionary Designs is officially live! We offer custom FDM 3D printing (including large format), 3D scanning, vinyl stickers, and CAD design services. Here's what we're about and what's coming.

If you've found your way here, welcome. Extrusionary Designs is a one-person fabrication workshop built around 3D printing, 3D scanning, vinyl cutting, and CAD design. Everything you see on this site comes out of a real workshop, made by hand, by one person who genuinely loves making things.

This has been a passion project that's grown into a proper small business — and launching this website is the next step in making it something bigger. So let's talk about what we do, what's coming, and why we started this in the first place.

What We Do at Extrusionary Designs

We run four core services out of our workshop, and together they cover a pretty wide range of what makers, builders, and small businesses need when they have an idea that hasn't been manufactured yet.

  • 🖨️ FDM 3D Printing — standard and large format. PLA, PETG, TPU, and more. From small functional parts to big builds.
  • 📡 3D Scanning — reverse engineering physical objects into accurate digital files. Perfect for discontinued parts and custom modifications.
  • ✂️ Vinyl Cutting — single and multi-colour vinyl stickers, decals, and custom designs. Etsy shop and direct orders welcome.
  • 📐 CAD Design — don't have a file? No problem. We design from scratch, from sketches, or from a scan.

The thread that runs through all of it is the same thing: turning an idea — or a broken part, or a sketch on a napkin — into something real and physical you can hold in your hands.

Why We Started This

Honestly? It started with a printer, a bunch of filament, and a habit of making things that didn't exist yet. What began as a hobby in the evenings turned into orders, then repeat customers, then a scanner and a vinyl cutter and a growing list of things people needed made.

The goal now is to turn this into a full-time operation — a real fabrication business that can take on custom commissions, produce products for Etsy, and serve the kind of clients who need one-off parts, prototypes, or reverse-engineered components.

One person, one workshop, zero outsourcing. Every order is made by the same hands that answer your messages. That's not going to change as we grow.

What's Coming Up

We've got some exciting things in the pipeline that we'll be sharing as they develop. Here's a quick peek:

Moto Tidy Tails

We're deep in R&D on a line of 3D-printed tidy tails for motorcycles. Starting with the Ducati SuperSport 950 and CFMOTO 450 SS, the goal is to produce clean, well-fitted tidy tails at a price point that undercuts what's currently on the market — without cutting corners on fit or finish. We'll be posting the build process as we go.

Printed-Cut Vinyl Stickers

Right now we do regular and multi-colour vinyl. Soon we'll be adding printed-cut stickers to the lineup — full colour, contour cut, the works. If you've been waiting on that, stay tuned.

New Etsy Products

We're expanding the Etsy store with new product lines — functional prints, seasonal items, and some things we've been quietly prototyping for a while. Follow the shop to be the first to know when new listings go live.
