A fan-made recreation of the Rumi Sword from K-Pop Demon Hunters, 3D printed using a combination of glow-in-the-dark PLA and gold filament for a dramatic, screen-inspired finish. The dual-material approach gives the blade its signature luminous quality while the gold accents bring the hilt to life — a striking display or costume piece for fans of the film.
K-Pop Demon Hunters gave us a striking blade design to work from, and the goal with this build was to capture that on-screen glow without relying on paint to fake it. The blade segments were printed directly in glow-in-the-dark PLA, so the luminous effect is baked into the material itself rather than a topcoat that would wear off with handling.
The hilt and guard were printed separately in gold filament and painted to bring out the metallic detail, then assembled with the blade into a single display-ready sword. Pairing a glow filament with a metallic gold gives the piece a two-tone contrast that reads well both under normal light and in the dark — ideal for photos, display cases, or cosplay.
