The latches on our filament storage totes broke, letting air and moisture in. We scanned one intact latch and replaced every broken one.

This one was an in-house project. We store filament in sealed totes to keep air and moisture out, and the default latches on several of them broke. Once a latch fails, the lid no longer seals, and the filament inside is exposed to the air.

Rather than replace the totes, we 3D scanned one complete, intact latch and used it as the model for the replacements, printed in PLA on our Bambu Lab X1C. Every broken latch was then replaced.

The gallery shows the blue original next to a white replacement, with the same profile, hinge pins and channel.
